Goldman Sachs Experience

For more than 17 years, Cameron Poetzscher gained significant professional experience in his tenure at the multinational investment banking firm Goldman Sachs. Utilizing his previous career knowledge in addition to his education -- a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) from the University of Queensland as well as his MBA from Harvard Business School -- Poetzscher began his work with Goldman Sachs in April 1996 as Managing Director, Technology/Media/Telecom Group. He continued through March 2014, leaving at that time from the the position of Managing Director of the M&A Group.

While at Goldman Sachs, Poetzscher gained immense global investment banking experience, advising numerous clients -- some of the most sophisticated and demanding -- on complex, high-profile M&A (mergers and acquisitions) transactions, IPOs and other financial actions across five continents. His clients ranged from Fortune 50 companies to pre-IPS startups backed by leading VC firms.

His Goldman Sachs expertise also focused sharply on technology, media and telecom with an emphasis on entertainment and the internet. With these clients ranging from innovators to industry leaders, Poetzscher has worked with companies in markets such as healthcare, consumer, financial, real estate and natural resources.

In all of his work with this New York City-based company, his work has thrived internationally. Not only did Poetzscher relocate to Singapore for five years while serving in a Goldman Sachs role, but he also managed client expectations in other regions of Europe, Australia, Latin America and more.
